Five ARVIS volunteers joined other hundreds of persons in “ Pleading for Dignity” March. The march of dignity was organized by Blijdorp Association Romania, in partnership with the County Council Suceava and other institutions in charge with children with special needs and it pointed out the International Day of Children with Dissabilities. The march aimed to plead for promoting and respecting the persons with dissabilities’ rights.
The project is a result of the partnership between AR Vocational and Investment Solutions – ARVIS and the Center of Recovery and Social Intergration BLIJDORP Suceava.
The general objectives of the project – Increasing the quality of life for the children with disabilities and developing the volunteering activity.
Specific objectives: – Integrating the children with disabilities and their families in the local communities, through their implication in a programme of educational activities together with ARVIS youths (mostly students). – developing ARVIS members’ and volunteers’ competences in the volunteering field. – informing the community (schools, families, wider society) about the persons with special needs and about the importance of respecting their needs and rights.
